国際連合大学がこのたび創設する「SDG大学連携プラットフォーム」は、SDGsを軸に、国内の大学の連携を強化し、ステークホルダーとの協働を通して国際社会における日本の大学の存在感を高め、日本および世界の持続可能な発展に貢献することを目指すものです。
その創設を記念し、国際連合大学サステイナビリティ高等研究所（UNU-IAS）は、文部科学省の後援（予定）、東洋経済新報社、Wave LTD GROUPの協力を得て、「国連大学SDG大学連携プラットフォーム創立記念シンポジウム」をオンラインで開催いたします。企業・自治体・学術界の第一人者をお招きして、日本の大学間の連携とステークホルダーとの新たな協創の可能性について、議論を行います。

The United Nations University (UNU) is establishing a new academic platform to enhance cooperation between Japanese universities for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDG – Universities Platform (SDG–UP) will increase Japanese universities’ presence in international academic communities and contribute towards achieving the SDGs both locally and internationally.
To launch the platform, the UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) will organise an online symposium on 28 August 2020. With panelists from the private sector, local government and academia, it will focus on enhancing collaboration between Japanese universities and strengthening partnerships with other stakeholders. The event will be organised with the support of MEXT — the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (TBC), and in cooperation with Toyo Keizai Inc. and Wave LTD GROUP.
